Kräftiger Sound aus mobiler Box!

Hab die Box nun knapp 2 Wochen im Dauereinsatz...Zeit für ein Fazit: Verpackung/Design/Lieferumfang: Die Box wird komplett in einer Papier- und Pappverpackung geliefert, schon mal super was das Thema Nachhaltigkeit angeht. Die Box an sich ist schlicht, aber schick. Sie wirkt sehr robust und tadellos gefertigt. Eine Trageschlaufe unterstreicht das Thema Mobilität. Neben der Box gibt es noch Papierkram sowie ein USB-C Ladekabel als Lieferumfang. Inbetriebnahme/Installation: Habe die Box per Bluetooth mit meinem Android Smartphone verbunden. Dies gestaltete sich kinderleicht und die Verbindung ist zu 100% stabil und die Reichweite ist auch super. Soundqualität: Der Sound den die Box ausgibt, ist wirklich beeindruckend. Musik wird sehr kräftig und klar wiedergegeben, auch der Bass ist super und man kann richtig laut aufdrehen. Die Box sollte für ein besseres Klangerlebnis vertikal aufgestellt werden, dann kommt das neue Feature, nämlich der Line-Shape Diffuser voll zur Geltung. Dieser sorgt tatsächlich für einen raumfüllenden Sound, ein echtes Klangwunder. Ich habe auch das ein oder andere Telefonat geführt und wurde gut verstanden. Ich konnte meinen gegenüber auch immer gut verstehen. Features/Akku/Sonstiges: Die Box ist sowohl wasser- wie auch staubgeschützt und kann somit überall mitgenommen werden. Beim starten der Box wird der Akkustand angesagt, das finde ich sehr komfortabel. Mit vollgeladenem Akku kann ich etwa 15 Stunden Musik hören, man kommt also locker durch den Tag. Dank USB-C wird auch schnell wieder aufgeladen. Fazit: Klar...das wichtigste ist der Sound und der hat es wirklich in sich. Hätte nicht gedacht dass das Soundbild so kräftig, klar und dann noch so laut aufgedreht werden kann. Wir sind wirklich sehr zufrieden mit der Box.

Nicht leicht, das Für und Wider abzuwägen. Letztendlich entscheidet für mich, das was einen Lautsprecher grundsätzlich auszeichnen sollte – der Klang. Und vorweg zur Einordnung: ich habe überwiegend Kopfhörer auf den Ohren, sowohl zu Hause, als auch unterwegs. Nicht unbedingt preisgünstige. Dementsprechend bin ich es gewohnt, Gesangsstimmen sehr klar, Musikinstrumente unterscheidbar und auch Räumlichkeit wahrzunehmen. Das schafft der SRS-XE200 keineswegs. Als Stereopaar hab ich ihn nicht testen können – er kann zu zweit als solches betrieben werden, was für ihn spricht. Ebenso Google Fast Pair, was die Verbindung zu einem Android-Smartphone sehr komfortabel macht. Er kann auch laut, richtig laut, ohne zu verzerren. Sehr viel lauter als z.B. der kleine Sony SRS-XB13. Beiden gemeinsam ist: für meine Ohren viel zu viel Bass, da nützt auch der Equalizer der „Music Center“-APP nix, mit dem man beim SRS-XE200 Anpassungen an die Klanggewohnheiten vornehmen kann. Die wahrnehmbaren Unterschiede beim Ausreizen der Equalizer-Einstellungen sind nur marginal. Auffallende Klangunterschiede nehme ich eher bei unterschiedlicher Positionierung des Lautsprechers wahr. In Kopfhöhe noch ok, kann er, lotrecht auf dem Boden stehend, nicht punkten. Angewinkelt in Richtung Kopf wird es besser, es kommen dann auch wieder ein paar hohe Frequenzen an den Ohren an. Auf eine Längsseite gelegt ist es gleich sehr viel besser, weil die Abstrahlrichtung dann nach oben zeigt. Dass höhere Frequenzen nur in einem kleinen Fenster gegen die Bassstärke ankommen, merkt man sogar, wenn man am ausgestreckten Arm, mit dem Lautsprecher in der Hand, diesen unterschiedlich anwinkelt. Die beworbene Freisprechfunktion kann nicht überzeugen, an beiden Seiten der „Leitung“ ist die Verständlichkeit und Sprachqualität wirklich mangelhaft. Genug gemeckert. Als Grill- oder Gartenpartybeschallung ist er 100%ig eine gute Wahl. Robust, pegelfest, wird er draußen vergessen, schadet ihm ein Regenguss nicht. Die Haptik der verwendeten Materialien ist grandios. Aufladen gelingt an leistungsstarken Ladegeräten wirklich in Windeseile. Umweltfreundliche Verkaufsverpackung, nur hat Sony vergessen, dass es noch besser wäre, könnte man den verbauten Akku wechseln, denn der wird die Lebensdauer begrenzen. Äußerlich scheint nämlich alles andere wie für die Ewigkeit gemacht. Ich habe das Gerät von Sony zum Testen bekommen, Hörempfinden und -gewohnheiten sind zu unterschiedlich, als dass meine Kritik jemanden vom Probehören abhalten sollte.

Great idea, poor in practice

I already had two of these and used them in different rooms. I bought six more to create the party link. Unfortunately, it is near impossible to get these to connect without constant interruptions. I think I have finally worked it out - I should keep my phone beside the one that I am connected to on bluetooth then the other five will work nearly perfectly; but the instructions do not advise of this. I would hate to have 200 of these connected only for them to not work! Individually however these are fabulous - really good sound quality and robust design. The party connect lets it down, and I would guess that is why they were discontinued after just a few years on sale.

Lovely little speaker to start our race count down

Bonjour, on m'a offert un XE200 pour Noel (il y a pile 2 mois). Très peu utilisé, pas de chute, d'eau etc, mais il s'est arrêté net et je ne peux ni le recharger ni le faire fonctionner. Je crois qu'il avait été acheté en ligne. Ou l'envoyer pour le faire réparer ou me le faire rembourser? Cordialement

très habitué aux modèles xb (j'ai possédé la xb 40, 43, 33, 10,12 et possède actuellement la xb100) axé basse, les modèles xe sont plus en retrait dans ce domaine pour mettre en avant les mediums, un peu déçu au départ par les rendus de ces fameuses basses, j'ai été peu à peu conquis par la clarté des mediums, l'utilisation est différente des modèles xb qui sont plus là pour ambiancer et faire la fête les xe excelleront pour une utilisation en musique de fond dans un bureau par exemple, d'autant qu'elle présente super bien et se pose idéalement à la verticale. Toujours une finition exemplaire signé sony, c'est devenu une habitude.

we are a small park of happy mobile/static caravaners, every weekend we get together, from 8 - 30 0f us around the table ((can't have a camp fire, its banned, well we are all OAP's) there were other sound boxes but when our SONY came ,that was it. they even dance now.

Come sempre, Sony difficilmente sbaglia, questa cassa, seppur di fascia media, mi ha sorpreso davvero, soprattutto utilizzando l'app dedicata, dove si trova la possibilità di regolare l'equalizzazione a tre vie. Ottimo l'audio, considerando l'utilizzo che si fa di questi dispositivi, ossia all'aria aperta, spesso in viaggio o vacanza, io l ho acquistati per tenerlo in guardino quando ci godiamo la piscina o siamo in compagnia per grigliate o aperitivi Giudizio davvero positivo. Appena raggiunta la carica ottimale, procederò con l'aggiornamento. Volendo trovare una pecca, l'app Sony, non mi rileva gli altri dispositivi bt, non essendo Sony, e sicuramente non avendo lo stesso standard. Rivolto comunque con l'app Samsung

Bought this as it said it had 16 hour battery life and get 60 min pkay time off 10 min charge but thats not the case it runs out off battery after about 4 hours and takes hours to charge

Gutes Gerät für das Zuhause. Für unterwegs auch, nur leider es schwer um die Box dauerhaft zu tragen auch wenn die Trageschlaufe nicht zu dünn ist und daher nicht einschneidet. Aber bei Parties im freien immer ein gern gesehener Gast. Es gibt auch über das Telefon einen Modus zur Klangoptimierung. Dieser ist auch an und für sich ganz gut nur meiner Meinung bei Rockmusik nach etwas basslastig. Aber das subjektiv. Nichts desto trotz kann ich das Gerät empfehlen.

So easy to set up with various Bluetooth music sources. So far only tried in house and played straight out of the box with no issues. This is no boom box but that was not what we were looking for! Considering it's size, the quality is pretty good and it feels quite robust.

This was my Christmas treat to myself because I listen to lots of podcasts via my mobile and it really amplifies and improves the sound well. It can get loud if I'm not careful about adjusting the volume, which I can either do via my phone or on the speaker itself. It is well sealed so I can safely use it in the bathroom if I wish. And it looks great, plus it was in the JD Williams Xmas sale, which saved my a nice bit. Very happy with it!

Fast free delivery, ordered online from Sony on Saturday, delivered within a 1 hour timeslot the following Monday morning! Bought 2 and played as a stereo pair. Overall very happy. Mainly used with Hiby R2 dap. Only used indoors up to yet. Bluetooth connection very stable and after the initial stereo set up (via Android phone/Music centre app) speakers connect almost instantly when switched on subsequently. Music centre app easy to use to update firmware and implement the battery care mode feature, there's also an equaliser available but I prefer to play flat. Very good build quality. Very happy with sound quality, crisp clear sound without being sibilant and good bass considering their size. Good stereo separation. Really good volume, not needed to go above 70% (no distortion) volume yet indoors. Only criticisms are: 1 The colour, a black option would have been preferable to grey. 2 The hi res LDAC codec cannot be utilised when used as a stereo pair. They're minor gripes, would have been 5 stars otherwise. Would definitely recommend.

All you need for an indoor/outdoor non-stop music

I have had for many years already a Sony speaker, the BSP10 which is great and have lasted forever. With that in mind, all what I was lacking is a good device for outdoors, e.g. garden parties. Well, the XE200 ticks all the boxes both for my daily singing in the shower, the hot days in the garden, my writing and reading sessions on the sofa and the list keeps going. Package: just like all my Sony gadgets, environmentally responsible and it comes with a USB-C cable in line with the new European regulations, meaning, I can use pretty much any charger with the same connector. Spot on! Battery: Not sure how long it takes to be fully charged as I have not exhausted the battery just yet but what I can tell is about how long the battery will last: I ran a whole 13 hrs 22min Classic music playlist starting with a full charge. By the time the last track finished, I still had about 17% life, so, being realistic, the Speaker can run a full party in the garden, a trans-European drive from Portugal to Germany or about 1300 pages read (depending of your reading speed, of course). Quality of audio: For lovers of high quality music such as jazz and classical, you won’t be disappointed. I’ve tested the speaker with the works of Karl Jenkins and different records of excellent orchestras, composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Thomas Newman as well as great musicians like John Patitucci, Gillespie and Mangione with wonderful results. If you are into pop, motown or metal, I can tell you, you’ll get the most of it with crystal results. You feel a fully bodied bass without the vibration at the same time with the finest cymbals. Grouping speakers: download the Music Center app for better performance and be aware that you’ve got the option to group another XE200 or make a Party group with speakers. I haven’t tried this just yet. I wanted to test it with my BSP10 but it didn’t work. I guess is just a conflict between tech generations so my old speaker won’t do the trick. However, as I said before, one XE200 suffice for a garden party. Compatibility: It goes without saying that any android will work as well as iOS. In fact, my wife has taken my speaker twice and played her music with her iPhone. The synchronisation, just like with my Xperia II, was instant. Conclusion: portable, high fidelity sound, easy to set up, sturdy materials, water-proof (up to 30’/1m deep), perfect for outdoors, more than enough for indoor. Another big success for Sony!
