I am primarily a wildlife photographer. I have only used the A1ii for two weeks, so, I am still gaining the deep knowledge required to use the camera to its full potential. However saying that it is without any doubt the best camera I have ever used. I have the original A1 which is a very capable camera about which I have no complaints. The A1ii just puts the icing on the cake with fantastic auto focus, pre-capture, improved lowlight performance, better image stabilisation, more dynamic range and a better body.

Ho deciso di acquistare questa fotocamera dopo aver valutato tutte le altre fotocamere top di gamma degli altri brand. Sono molto molto soddisfatto della mia scelta. Continuerò ad essere cliente Sony, comprando la Sony a1 mark 3 quando sarà disponibile. Molto soddisfatto anche della qualità degli obiettivi che Sony mette a disposizione. Questo mi consente lasciare liberà la mia creatività. Decisamente consigliata a chi vuole il massimo.

I've had an original A1 for over a year along with an A7RV for aviation and wildlife photography. I very much enjoyed the superior subject detect on the A7RV but didn't enjoy the rolling shutter issues. On retirement I have treated myself to an A1ii which blends the superior handling/response of the A1 with the subject detect of the A7RV. One welcome feature is the slightly bigger body as I found the older bodies to be a little small for my hand especially in the gap between the lens and the grip, that is now no longer an issue for me. I have only dabbled with the precapture but hope to be reaping the rewards of this feature soon. All in all a positive step forward and the A7RV traded in.

La mia prima Sony mirrorless quasi 3 anni fa è stata la A7MKII con FE 24-105 f/4 G OSS, provenivo da decenni di uso con fotocamere Canon ed in particolare Leica, ma anche medio formato Hasselblad e Zenza Bronica, poi su consiglio di fotografi esperti ed amici sono entrato nel mondo delle fotocamere Sony quasi per gioco e solo con la voglia di provare qualche cosa di nuovo. Per farla breve dopo poco, talmente entusiasta dei risultati, sono passato alla A7RM3A, poi alla A7RM5 alla quale ho affiancato da poco una A1 II. Se ho fatto questa progressione dal punto di vista delle fotocamere il motivo sta' nel fatto che i risultati via, via, sono stati sempre estremamente gratificanti ancorpiù accoppiando alle ultime fotocamere delle ottiche originali di pregio della serie "G" e "GM". Tornando all'ultimo acquisto ritengo che la A1 II sia la sintesi del massimo progresso tecnologico in termini di mirrorless e verosimilmente a mio parere potrebbe essere la miglior fotocamera oggi presente sul mercato. La qualità delle immagini prodotte da quella fotocamera con ottiche "GM", in particolar modo mi trovo ad utilizzare parecchio il 50mm f/1.2 GM con una resa semplicemente stupefacente, colori, resa cromatica, velocità autofocus, recupero alte e basse luci, bassissimo rumore agli alti ISO, rapidità d'uso ed una reattività del pulsante di scatto che mai in 50 anni di fotografia avevo sperimentato. Per concludere, penso che difficilmente oggi si possa desiderare una fotocamera con prestazioni migliori di questa, pertanto il mio giudizio complessivo è da 10 e lode. Non ho fatto riferimento al prezzo della fotocamera che si è particolarmente elevato, ma è ovvio che gli oggetti di pregio costano ed anche la concorrenza quando si tratta di modelli top non scherza con i prezzi.

I've now had a bit of time to use the new A1ii to leave an honest review.. Firstly my background is that I'm a keen amateur photographer mainly specialising in wildlife. Coming from Minolta Dynax 7000i and 8000i to a Sony a700 before graduating to mirrorless a7iii, a1 and now this fantastic upgrade from the original A1. My key points are 1...ai auto focus with subject recognition.. Once set it doesn't let go of the subject 2... Crisper sharper images with a better handling of noise at the higher iso values 3... Pre-capture, I wasn't expecting it to be as good or as useful as it is.. 4.. The speed boost button I have it set so I can toggle between on and off but I may change it back to press and hold to activate it as I keep forgetting it's turned on so end up with loads of photos. But this is down to how I've set it up. 4.. Custom buttons.. This is a very customisable camera to set it up to suit your own needs for whatever you are shooting.. I'm still learning with it and setting it up for my own style of photography.. But I can say that I am very impressed so far.. When it was 1st announced I didn't think that I would get the benefit or it was much of an upgrade from the original a1... How wrong I was! I am in no way sponsored by Sony and have purchased all of my own equipment.. I absolutely love this camera.. Please Sony do not bring out an a1iii just yet as I can't afford to upgrade again so soon. As a foot note I have tried to add some superb photos of a Kingfisher that I took with this camera but Sony's moderator twice declined them saying that they were inappropriate... quite how they worked that out beats me!

Possédant un A7 R4, qui me limitait en photos d'oiseaux et de sports. J'ai acheté A1 m2 en novembre après une longue période de pour et de contre entre le A1 et l'A1 m2. La question se posait entre avantage, inconvénient et prix. Je ne regrette pas mon choix. Accroche collimateur impressionnante, pré capture, polyvalence et nombreuses possibilités d'adaptation des boutons de réglage à mes propres besoins. Je dirais que son seul inconvénient est son prix.

Come fidelizzazione al brand Sony ho poco da invidiare; tutta la mia attrezzatura è Sony. Ho appena venduto Sony A1 mark I per Sony A1 mark II, ottima macchina come la precedente. Cosa mi aspettavo da Sony A1 mark II per essere veramente considerata il top di gamma Sony? Il sensore Global Shutter e un incremento della raffica, caratteristiche che trovo già nella Sony A9III.

I bought this in December 2024 when first released as a wildlife camera to go with my Sony a7r5's that I use for landscape photography. I have since just purchased a second a1 MKII. I am extremely happy with both and will use them with my 400GM & 300GM in upcoming safari trip next year in addition to many more occasions out in the field inbetween. Ergonomics and performance are perfect. Feel free to send some CFExpress Type A cards my way anytime !!

It took me several months to make my mind up to trade in my A1 which was almost 4 years old having bought it soon after it was issued.. I'm so pleased I have moved on despite being very happy with the A1. The new functions included are perfect for wildlife and action photography which is my main interests. If you are reading my feedback with doubt in your, go for it, I'm pleased I did, It's a truly great camera.

I bought this A1 ii to replace my A1. The A1 is still a fantastic camera but the A1 ii is just amazing. The auto focus is soo good. the new floppy screen is so convenient. All in all it is the best camera I have ever used. I love it.

I like the ergonomics over the a1 mk1. Focus acquisition is excellent and a definite improvement. I was disappointed to see the same hot shoe cover as the A1 is still there. It lets water onto the contacts and the camera locks up. I did mention this when I bought the A1 but nothing has been done to address this weakness. If the mk2 locks up in the same way, I will have to resort to using a Nikon hot shoe cover Bs-3 to protect the contacts and prevent damp getting to them. I am not the only one to have this issue but so far it has been ignored by Sony. So a brilliant camera with one potential Achilles heel. Come on Sony listed to your users as I shouldn’t have to be going to a third party rival at this price point.

Bildqualität in Kombination mit den GM2 Objektiven super. Die Subjekterkennung ist genial. Insbesondere die automatische Subjekterkennung (Person/Tier/Fahrzeug/usw.), ich wünsche mir, ein entsprechendes Firmware Update für die 9M3 die genau das auch bringt, das ist sicher möglich, denn die Prozessoren sind meines Wissens ja die gleichen.

Passionné de photo animalière, j'ai acheté l'Alpha1M II voilà un mois pour bénéficier de la fonction précapture. C' est fantastique, les images sont enregistrées dès la mise au point durant 1 seconde et cela jusqu'au déclenchement. Je ne rate plus aucun décollage d'oiseau. La montée en ISO est aussi un paramètre du choix de cet appareil parmi les autres modèles de la marque.

Hätte gern die A1 II hier in Deutschland gekauft, so blieb es dann aber bei Hongkong - Ware vom Graumarkt - die hatten auch nur noch eine Einzige, vermutlich ein Aussteller (Ware war etwas staubig und die Papierhüllen etwas verknittert). Ausserdem in einer weißen Schachtel, die sonst immer Orange-Schwarz war.

Vor der Sony A1 II, hatte ich die A7R V, ebenfalls eine sehr gute Kamera aber die A1 II ist dann doch noch mal ein anderes Kaliber. Die Bildqualität der Einser ist im hohen ISO-Bereich, deutlich besser, im niedrigen ISO-Bereich, sind beide Kameras ähnlich gut. Die Farbechtheit ist ebenfalls sehr gut, ist ja nicht immer die stärke von Sony Kameras. In Punkto Geschwindigkeit und Autofokus ist die A1 II in einer anderen Liga, das störte mich bei der A7. Alles in allem eine super Kamera, für alle Bereiche zu gebrauchen.

Ho testato la mia nuova A1 mK2 sul campo da calcio durante un incontro di Serie B, giornata fredda ed estremamente piovosa. Durante la partita mi è sembrata molto simile alle A9 mK2 che utilizzo di solito con la differenza di velocità nell'invio le foto al server FTP del committente. A fine partita rivedendo i file ho decisamente notato la qualità del nuovo sensore e le funzionalità di una macchina nata per il lavoro anche in condizioni estreme. Molto soddisfatto.

Rispetto alla ILCE 1, apprezzo la riduzione del rumore molto efficace e senza perdita di Per avere un paragone con la ILCE 1 ( mia personale considerazione) il rumore già era sensibile a 1200 ISO: ora con ILCE 1 M2 ho lo stesso rumore a oltre 12.000 ISO. Altre caratteristiche superano di molto la precedente ILCE 1. Complimenti a SONY!!!

I've had my A1 II for a week now but not much chance of using it so far due to the weather and work commitments. However, my initial thoughts. Note: I used the Mark Galer camset with a bit of Colby Brown and my own mods to get me going. I always liked the relatively small size of the Mk1, the Mk2 is larger but more comfortable with the shutter button better placed. The right-hand strap point slightly higher so it no longer rubs on my finger. The power switch is slightly more resistant/stiffer; a definite bonus as my Mk1 was always switching on in my camera bag. Although fractionally lighter, I don't notice it, probably due to the increased size making me think it's actually heavier 🙂 Low light performance is excellent and the improved IBIS awesome - you can hand hold are very low speeds. AI subject recognition is super-fast and sticky. I have it set to auto and it happily switches between dogs, cats and people. Nice to have the focus bracketing - I use it a lot for macro on my A7RV. I've taken a range of landscape and street photographs with the 24-70GM2 but lack of support for RAW in my chosen editor Capture One is holding me back a bit. I could use JPEG or HEIF but happy to wait. ON1 and Affinity Photo 2 do work with the Mk2 raw so will try them. Looking forward to trying BIF when I get the chance.

Sony hat mit der Alpha 1 Mark II nicht einfach ein Upgrade rausgehauen, sondern ein echtes Kreativ-Monster gebaut. Nach meinem Test kann ich sagen: Das Ding ist nicht nur eine Kamera, es ist ein Werkzeug, das dir keine Ausreden mehr lässt. Die Bildqualität ist absolut erstklassig, der Autofokus klebt am Motiv wie Sekundenkleber und die Serienbildgeschwindigkeit ist so absurd schnell, dass du jedes noch so flüchtige Detail einfängst. Besonders spannend: Pre-Capture. Die Kamera speichert Bilder schon, bevor du den Auslöser drückst – perfekt für Situationen, in denen du keinen Moment verpassen willst. Für Videografen hat Sony auch ordentlich nachgelegt. Auto-Framing hält das Motiv automatisch im Bild – als hätte man einen unsichtbaren Kameraassistenten dabei. Dazu kommt die Möglichkeit, eigene LUTs direkt in die Kamera zu laden, was den Workflow bei Videoprojekten deutlich beschleunigt. Natürlich sprechen wir hier von einem Premium-Preis und gigantischen Datenmengen, aber hey – wer das Maximum an Leistung und Flexibilität sucht, findet hier die perfekte Kamera. Kurz gesagt: Die Sony Alpha 1 Mark II ist nicht nur eine Kamera, sondern ein zuverlässiger Partner, der jedes Projekt auf das nächste Level hebt.

Pour moi à l’heure actuel, ça est le meilleur boîte au monde toute marque confondu. Il a tout ce dont rêve un photographe professionnel comme moi. J’en ai pris 2 (j’avais la7rV et un a1) je suis spécialisé dans le repartage de mariage et le Life style. Mais il m’arrive de faire du sport de l’animalier. Ce boiter excelle partout.

J'ai reçu le A1II il y a 3 jours et j'ai pu tester son AF de folie. Les possibilités que m'offre ce boîtier sont incroyables. Je ne regrette pas d'être passé du A7RV au A1II... Amicalement PS je vous mets 6 photos (⅕s à 30i/s) du suivi AF d'une mésange bleue en vol.

Possesseur d'un A7Riv, j'ai failli craquer pour un A9iii mais quelques limitations spécifiques à mon usage m'ont poussé à différer mon achat dans l'espoir d'un A1ii. Je suis emballé par mon nouveau boîtier qui répond parfaitement à ce que j'espérais : haute résolution, autofocus performant sur les oiseaux (merci la puce IA), montée en ISO maîtrisée, pré-capture, focus stacking pour la macro ou les paysages, colorimétrie, amélioration de la prise en main, etc.
