Nice sharp detailed pictures

I've had this little beauty for 2 months now and I love it. My other camera is a £1000 plus DSLR kit and it's now back in its box. My RX100 is only the "basic" model but it does everything that I need. Ok so it doesn't have 4k video recording or wi fi but I can happily live without those. The video on this is excellent anyway and looks pin sharp and stable on a 55 inch UHD TV, so paying a large premium for all the new upgrades, most of which I wouldn't use, really doesn't interest me. The BIG benefit with this camera is its size and the fantastic quality of its images. I no longer have to think whether or not to take the camera with me when I go out as its always in my coat pocket, and looking at the images on a 55 inch screen I would say that the quality is around 90% of what my DSLR can achieve, and that is phenomenal for a camera of this size. Nice sharp images (I've not experienced any camera shake at all), good depth of field, perfect straight from the camera colour rendition and the ability to shoot in 16.9 so images fit the TV screen perfectly. But again, the BIG benefit is that I always have it with me so my pictures are more impulsive and less "planned". So no tripod, no big backpack and I really do believe that I am taking better pictures. For me this little camera is a real game changer.

Après 5 ans d’utilisation très satisfaisante, mon appareil vient de tomber en panne. Le message affiché sur l’écran LCD est : « redémarrer l’appareil ». Redémarrer l’appareil ne résoud pas la panne. Le zoom se déploie mais l’écran reste noir. Je ne compte pas acheter un autre appareil Sony car la panne semble commune : beaucoup d’autres propriétaires du même appareil témoignent d’une panne similaire.

Eine sehr gute kompaktkamera mit vielen Einstellungsmöglichkeiten für kteatives Fotografieren. Sehr guter und schneller Autofokus. Manche Einstellungen machen für mich keinen Sinn. Durchdie grosse Zoomweite bei schwachen Licht nicht ganz so scharf. Ein Ausgleich sind die verschiedensten Szenenmodi. Gut finde ich das RAW Bildformat.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einer kleinen Kamera mit vielen Fähigkeiten, um das Smartphone auch mal zu Hause lassen zu können. Die RX100 hat meine Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt, und sogar weit übertroffen! Ich habe sie seitdem immer dabei und das Fotos machen ist dadurch ein viel bewussterer Vorgang. Ich kann diese Kamera vollumfänglich empfehlen (bin selber nur Anfänger in Sachen Fotografie)

Used this camera for many years ,incredible compact. Then it failed to power up. Got intouch with Sony within the warranty period and I had a delay sending it back, personal reasons. Sony declined the warranty after that because of the delay. Won't buy another Sony camera again.

I'm a novice in the world of photography- but take loads of pictures across a wide range of subjects. My DSLR recently packed in, so I bought this as a convenient substitute because of its high spec and being easy to carry. It has loads of technical features which I am determined to master. Downside for me - two points- the shutter button is too small and at night in December its difficult to use sensitively. I've already bought and applied the stick on side grip to make it more secure to hold. Plus the photo download is tedious on my phone but easier on ipad. Ziess lens is amazing.

nonostante sia un prodotto tecnologicamente anziano questa rx100 mk 1 sa regalare soddisfazioni con foto dai colori realistici o bianchi e neri contrastati, lo zoom 28-100 mm consente composizioni ottimali in molte situazioni, ovviamente la sua età la rende un po' lenta nella messa a fuoco o nella definizione dell'esposizione ma con un po' di pazienza il divertimento è assicurato potendosela portare sempre con sé nella tasca dei pantaloni come un pacchetto di sigarette, anche nel 2023 ne consiglio l'acquisto, ora solo nell'ambito dell'usato, buona luce 😀

Ho usato la RX100 per 7 anni in ogni condizione e per ogni tipologia di foto: foto di paesaggio, ritratto, street photography, foto di viaggio, foto di interni, foto di eventi familiari. Ho utilizzato poco la sezione video, ma non è una fotocamera adatta a questo scopo. La lente è molto luminosa, soprattutto alle focali corte (f. 1,8/4,9) e il sensore da 1" restituisce una qualità delle immagini di molto superiore alle compatte tradizionali (di certo non pari ai moderni sensori aps-c o full frame). La focale da 10,4mm a 37,1mm corrisponde all'incirca a un obiettivo 28-100mm in fullframe (circa un 18-70mm in aps-c), cioè a una lente che permette di fare tutto ciò che un fotografo amatoriale ama fare. La versatilità della fotocamera permette anche di realizzare reportage. Ricordiamoci che è l'occhio del fotografo a scattare, l'apparecchio è solo lo strumento (almeno finché l'intelligenza artificiale non si affermerà anche in questo campo). Le focali più corte corrispondono a un grandangolo ideale per foto paesaggistiche, a monumenti, a gruppi di persone, a se stessi, per qualche foto di interni senza troppe pretese, insomma, basta e avanza per le foto in vacanza, in famiglia e della domenica. Alle focali medie otteniamo buone foto di dettagli, ritratti ambientati o ritratti in primo piano. Il colore dell'incarnito è buono e la distorsione accettabile (comunque ben corretta dalla macchinetta in formato jpeg). Alle focali lunghe abbiamo un teleobiettivo valido, con zoom ottico di 3,6x, che consente fotografie a distanza, naturalistiche e di dettagli. La distanza minima di messa a fuoco è di 5cm perciò è possibile fare buoni scatti ravvicinati (ho fotografato fiori, insetti ecc. con buona soddisfazione). Il sensore soffre in condizioni di scarsa illuminazione, e il rumore diventa evidente dai 1600 ISO in su. Non ho provato con l'astrofotografia, quindi per questo non saprei dire. Questa fotocamera permette di scattare in modalità manuale, con priorità di diaframma, con priorità di tempo, in automatico e con parametri pre-impostati (foto di paesaggio, ritratti, tramonti ecc). Dà soddisfazione in ogni caso: legge bene i valori di luce e sceglie correttamente i valori di scatto. In manuale si possono impostare l'apertura focale (da 1.8f a 11f), il tempo di scatto (da infinito a 1/2000), i parametri di ISO (da 80 a 6400) e il bilanciamento del bianco. Nelle modalità con priorità, si può variare anche il valore di esposizione (-3 +3 EV). È possibile modificare manualmente i parametri di luminosità, di contrasto e di saturazione dell'immagine. Si può aggiungere una dominante colore dal menù. Le impostazioni ci permettono di scegliere se scattare in RAW, in RAW+jpeg (nel caso realizza la stessa foto nei due formati differenti) o in solo RAW. Questo ci dà la possibilità di intervenire sull'immagine in post-produzione. La sony mette a disposizione una versione gratuita del software di fotoritocco CaptureOne che ci permette di correggere gli scatti. Quanto descritto fa capire che la Sony RX100 è adatta al fotografo della domenica che vuole una qualità dell'immagine superiore alle compatte, è ideale per chi vuole avvicinarsi al mondo della fotografia professionale, è utile come seconda macchina per i professionisti che vogliono una fotocamera da tenere in tasca all'occorrenza. Per concludere. Ho amato la RX100. L'ho preferita a una reflex per la sua leggerezza e versatilità. Inoltre, ho voluto cominciare da qui per approcciare alla fotografia in modalità manuale. L'ho usata ovunque e per qualsiasi scopo. Viste le dimensioni e la buona qualità costruttiva, l'ho portata e la porto sempre con me. Buona la messa a fuoco automatica, buona la modalità "punta e scatta", buona la velocità di scatto, buone le immagini in Jpeg. È una fotocamera che non venderò mai e che consiglio vivamente a chi vuole cominciare a fare foto a un livello avanzato.

Beim Kauf vor etwa 5 Jahren war das Gerät State of the Art in Bezug auf Speicher und Bildqualität. Einziger Schwachpunkt: Bei schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen kommt die Kamera schnell ans Limit. Ein großes Plus sind Robustheit und einfache Bedienung. Man kann fast nichts falsch machen.

Un peu compliqué

un mode d'emploi sur papier aiderait beaucoup. Certaines fonctionnalités qui marchaient bien cessent d'un coup d'être opérationnelles sans que l'on sache pourquoi (ie transfer des photos sur l'ordi en wifi), la localisation des photos à l'aide du smartphone, c'est une fois oui, une fois non et de toutes façons trop compliqué, et enfin difficile de trouver la bonne vitesse pour que le mode panorama fonctionne...

En effet, dans le cadre de son programme "3P", Sony réduit l'impact sur l'environnement en agissant aussi bien sur la conception des produits, le choix des matières premières ou encore la réduction des emballages.
Parmi nos nombreuses initiatives figurent l'utilisation de matériaux recyclés lorsque cela est possible, l'utilisation d'énergies renouvelables dans nos entreprises et la réduction de la production de déchets à un seuil minimal.
Pour le transfert des photos sur le PC via Wi-Fi & la localisation des photos à l'aide du smartphone et le mode panorama, nous aimerions en savoir plus afin de mieux vous aider.

C'est le troisième modèle Rx100 que je possède, il fait de bonnes photos comparé à la concurrence qui arrive tout de même. Je l'utilise essentiellement avec un caisson sous-marin.

Zur Ergänzung zu meinen Sony HX50 erworben um auch bei schwachem Licht detailreiche Fotos zu erzielen. Die Kameras ergänzen sich. In der vorgesehenen Anwendung ist die RX stärker. Sie ist als Reisekamera zu empfehlen und kleiner = taschenfreundlicher als die HX50. Im hohen Zoombereich ist sie verständlicherweise nicht gleichwertig, kann aber durch den großen Chip bis etwa 10-fach problemlos mithalten. Dafür ist sie aber auch nicht gedacht.

Bonjour, J'ai un problème qui semble récurent si j'en crois les messages sur les forums: le message "turn power off and on". j'ai suivi les recommandations, donc enlevé toutes les vis: mon appareil fonctionne. Je remets les vis, il ne fonctionne plus. J'imagine qu'il y a quelque chose qui est "serré" par la pression. Impossible de régler ce problème depuis 2 ans maintenant

Die RX100 VII ist nun meine Dritte RX100 seit 2012 und nebst der RX100 MK III mein ständiger Begleiter bei Reisen und Ausflügen. Passt in die Hosentasche und liefert dennoch Bilder, die an die Qualität einer SLR herankommen. Dank dem grossen Brennweitenbereich von 24-200 mm ist man für die meisten Situationen gewappnet.

Für mich die ideale "immerdabei" Kamera. Mehr benötigt man nicht für eine Städtetour oder einen Spaziergang im Park. Enorm, was dieser 1" Sensor leistet. Zudem ist die Kamera mit Hightech vollgestopft und für viele Fotosituationen bestens gerüstet. Das 24-70mm Objektiv meiner RX100Va reicht mir vollkommen aus, zumal es sehr lichtstark ist.

Comprei esta câmara à alguns anos e estou muito satisfeito com a mesma no entanto, hoje em dia, sinto a necessidade de uma funcionalidade que permitisse a transferência das fotos para a nuvem sem necessidade de a ligar ao computador. Optaria também por uma câmara com mais zoom.

RX100 VII. excellente qualité d'image en bonne condition de lumière. c'est moins bon en basse luminosité. très rarement fournit une image magenta (voir photo). très rarement également l'appareil plante, il faut sortir la batterie. mise au point moyenne en 4k et téléobjectif. menus compliqués non pilotables en touchscreen. pas assez de favoris dans "mon menu". j'attends un RX100 VIII.

Vor etwa 6 Jahren gekauft. Eigentlich sehr gut, sehr schnell, hohe Auflösung, jedoch leichte Verzerrungen am Rand, gute Filme. Inzwischen mehrere Reparaturen: Leiterplatte, Objektiv, Bildsensor jeweils 140 - 212 EUR. Jetzt wieder defekt. Mein neues Smartphone bringt visuell gleich gute Bilder, so dass ich die Kamera nicht noch einmal reparieren lassen will.

Ich habe mir die RX100 als "immer dabei" gekauft und bin nicht enttäuscht worden. Die Bildergebnisse sind klasse. Wenn man zu faul ist, kann man die Automatik machen lassen - und auch wenn ich das nicht gerne zugebe, die kann das meistens besser als man selbst. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, die Kamera ausreichend robust, um den Einsatz in der Wüste überlebt zu haben...

A compact high quality camera

I bought the DSC-RX100 (second hand from my local camera shop) after losing a good quality Canon compact camera. I have had it a couple of years ago now, and take it with me almost everywhere. I have used it alongside my Canon EOS 5D as an extra camera. On the negative side, I have had trouble re-inserting the memory card after removing it to upload pictures to my desktop computer via a cardholder. The springs that hold the memory card in place in the camera need holding back with a thin blade as I push the card in. I now use the USB lead to transfer pictures to my computer. Otherwise, with its high quality Zeiss lens, a very handy camera.

tolle Abbildungsqualität bestens geeignet für umfangreiche Fotobearbeitung im RAW-Format, großer Funktionsumfang. Leider zeigten sich nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit - trotz sorgfältigster Behandlung - Flecken auf dem Display, die sich nicht beheben ließen. Das vermindert leider sehr stark das Vergnügen mit dieser Kamera!!!

Ik heb deze camera al jaren. Inmiddels heb ik al een aantal opvolgers, de RX100-M2, RX100-VA, RX100-M7. Allemaal fantastische camera's. De camera die je altijd meeneemt omdat ie in je broekzak of jaszak past. En met de 1" sensor fantastische kwaliteit beelden geeft. De camera is zeer degelijk, met een metalen body. Deze camera wordt nu door andere familieleden gebruikt.

Insgesamt eine absolut tolle Kamera zum immer dabei haben und für ca. 95% aller fotografischen Herausforderungen. Die Bildqualität spricht für sich, und die Möglichkeit JPEG und RAW zu speichern ist für meine Begriffe optimal. Sony's eigene Software für den digital Darkroom ist richtig gut gemacht. Ich verwende meine DSLR seit ich die RX 100 habe eigentlich nicht mehr. Und ich fange damit sogar an Videos zu erstellen. :) Schön wäre es wenn der Displayschutz den man separat kaufen kann gleich an der Kamera angebracht wäre. Ansonsten ein absolutes Must Have!

J'ai eu exactement le même pendant 9 ans et m'avait suivie partout (il fonctionne encore parfaitement). Celui-ci, bien que du même modèle exactement a un capteur d'encore meilleure qualité. Je le recommande absolument à ceux qui cherchent un obturateur très rapide et une grande qualité d'image.
