Seit Mai 2021 besitze ich das Objektiv und habe es für sehr viele verschiedenartige Motive verwendet. Es ist das Geld wert und würde so eine Anschaffung auch noch einmal tätigen. Die Bildstimmung, der Bildstil sind eben bei diesen 400/2,8 traumhaft. Ob Schärfe, Bokeh, Farben, Autofokus, alles auf den Punkt. Es lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch die oft kritisierte Konverter-Tauglichkeit mit den 2,0x kann ich nicht ganz zustimmen: Die Ergebnisse sind nicht überragend, aber noch gut genug. Wenn man einmal so ein Supertele hat, möchte man leider nichts anderes mehr. Die Bedienungstasten empfinde ich als verwirrend.

Il est monté sur mon A7RV et les images sont d'une netteté incroyable. Mais c'est surtout la douceur et l'onctuosité du bokeh qui m'enchante. Et l'AF est diablement efficace et précis. Bref, c'est un objectif absolument fabuleux.

Das Objektiv ist erstklassig. Leicht, scharf, solide. Dennoch habe ich zwei Verbesserungswünsche: - Stativfuss mit Arca-Swiss-Aufnahme (was soll ich mit einem Fuss, der keinen Anschluss hat?) - Kleinere, kürzere oder zerlegbare (und billigere) Gegenlichtblende. Die Blende ist sehr groß, so dass ich mir dafür einen neuen Rucksack kaufen müsste. Ich habe mir für EUR 120 eine (in 2 Teile zerlegbare) Blende von einem Drittanbieter gekauft, damit reicht der jetzige (deutlich kleinere) Rucksack. Die Originalblende kostet EUR 1000 als Ersatzteil. Auch unter dem Aspekt lasse ich die lieber zuhause.

Cela fait fait quelques mois que je suis l'heureux propriétaire de ce fabuleux 400mm f/2.8 GM, et j'en suis enchanté. Associé à mon 7RV, ce couple délivré des photos d'une excellente précision en AF, d'un bokeh d'une douceur incomparable et d'une ergonomie parfaite.

Acquistata a Novembre 2023 e testata ad oggi in diverse uscite fra Italia e Spagna. Nitidezza estrema e luminosità sono ovviamente i punti forti. Ma anche il peso è molto ben bilanciato. Durante gli scatti la sensazione alla mano è ottima. Lo sfocato a 2.8 è incredibilmente "setoso" non solo sullo sfondo ma anche nel primissimo piano. Molto... troppo cara... ma che comunque regala file di un livello altissimo e difficilmente paragonabili ad altre lenti GM.

Ich habe das Objekt vor rund zwei Monaten gekauft und auf meiner letzten Reise nach Chile, Patagonien, eingesetzt, da ich einen PUMA-Tracking-Trip besucht habe. Der einzige Ort weltweit, wo PUMAS freilebend fotografiert werden können. Ein "Hammer"!

Ce 400mm est vraiment bluffant. Son poids est très bien reparti tout en restant assez léger même a main levée. Une qualité optique dingue qui ravira les photographes animalier et sportif. Idéal dans des conditions de basses lumières de part son ouverture à F2.8. Vous achetez un produit vraiment splendide !

Das Objektiv erfüllt all meine Erwartungen. Als sehr Ambitionierter Amateurfotograf hilft mir die Blende F2.8 extrem. Ein Super schneller Autofokus, Schärfe in alle vier Ecken und eine extrem gut balanciertes Gewicht. Da ich selten mit Monopod oder Stativ fotografiere, kommt mir die Gewichtsverteilung zur Kamera sehr zu gute. Eine Stunde aus der Hand zu fotografieren für mich kein Problem. Ich nutze das Objektiv mit der a7r4 und mit beiden Konvertern (TC 1.4 & 2.0), bisher ohne Probleme.

Wer sich dieses Objektiv zulegt, ist entweder Profi bzw. Berufs-Fotograf oder ein sehr ambitionierter Amateur, dem nur das Beste gerade gut genug ist...Ich zähle zu der letztgenannten Gruppe und bin begeistert! Super schneller Autofokus, tolle Schärfe und eine sehr gut balancierte Gewichtsverteilung, die es einem auch mal ermöglicht, ohne Stativ bzw. Monopod unterwegs zu sein.

Bought this recently and have been very impressed with build, quality of images and how light it is. Easy for transporting and with the 1.4 converter, turns it into a 560mm F4. I ave the A9 so with the crop button, the selection of lengths and DoF I have is very impressive,

Ein Teleobjektiv der 400/2.8-Klasse setzt frau/mann gezielt ein, für Sport oder Wildlife, aber auch Portraits gehen damit ;) . Das SEL400F28GM ist erfreulich leicht und nicht kopflastig, es ist problemlos auch längere Zeit freihand nutzbar. Die Bildqualität, Geschwindigkeit und Ausstattung entspricht voll und ganz der Erwartung an ein Top-Objektiv. Einzige Kleinigkeit, die verbessert werden könnte: bitte den Stativfuß mit einer ARCA-Swiss-kompatiblen Fräsung versehen Ohne diese Schwalbenschwanzfräsung muss zusätzlich eine Schnellwechselplatte montiert werden, was u.a. das Gewicht erhöht (und das Design ruiniert ;) ). Ich trage die Ausrüstung an einem "Sniper"-Gurt mit einer Klemme, um schnell und einfach an- und abzukoppeln und/oder auf Einbein oder Dreibein zu wechseln und montiere daher immer Wechselplatten, wenn keine Fräsung vorhanden ist.

Das geringe Gewicht des 400er begeistert mich jetzt seit einigen Monaten. Hinzu kommt die nicht anders zu erwartende hervorragende Abbildungsleistung. Messerscharf bei Offenblende - wie erwartet. Der OSS ist sehr leistungsstark - verwacklungsfreie Aufnahmen gehen aufgestützt (ohne Einbein) bis runter auf 1/8sek oder 1/15sek. Ich benutze es fast ausschließlich in Kombination mit der A7R4 und croppe lieber die 61MP anstatt den TC zu verwenden. Die BQ erscheint mir besser. Ab ca. 80% Crop setze ich dann den 1,4x TC ein. Einen 2x TC verwende ich derzeit nicht.

Das Sony - FE 400 mm F2,8 GM OSS besitze ich nun 6 Wochen und bin absolut begeistert. Zusammen mit der Alpha 9 ein Traumpaar. Auch mit dem 1,4 Konverter funktioniert der AF schnell und Treffsicher.
