Hello,

Recently I received my VAIO, the model is SVE1711C5E.

I have ordered FULL HD LCD model.

Well, Recently I experienced the difference in the displaying of colors in different sections of the applications.

For example, when I open a picture by "Windows photo Viewer", the colors are dead with low saturation and when I click on the PLAY SLIDE SHOW in that application, It shows the colors very live and with right saturation.

I am not sure what is the problem in this laptop for this issue on colors, I have reinstalled the VGA driver but that does not help.

I am not sure if this issue is related to some applications optimizing the colors on this laptop or not,

Is there anyone who knows the fix for this issue?

I have attached an image to show this difference in colors.

ALSO, I just noticed that, on some colors like gray, the screen pixels are flashing and I can see some movements which is more visible when I look at the lcd from 120 degree. I found that when I increase the brightness and contrast, those movements are not visible but this modification will result of very bright screen and that is annoying.

My main reason to buy this laptop is to design and photo editing and this might result to return the laptop.

Your helps will be helpful.

thanks,

As far as I know windows makes some profiles for displaying stuff. Maybe if you right click on your desktop, go to screen resolution, go to advanced settings, go to colour management and hit the colour management button, now you should be on the devices tab and there is a section that says 'Profiles associated with this device'. Check if you have any profiles configured. Remove it and restart. This should make some difference.
