Hi, I ordered my 55'' HX8 yesterday from the Sony centre. very excited.

I am wondering what is the best quality flat fitting wall bracket to suit this TV. I would like the ability to forward tilt slightly, but it doesn't need tilt and turn.

Also interested to hear, whether anyone else has wall mounted one yet and whether they have had any issues? I was concerned about the panel being flat when it is designed with a 6 degree rear tilt on the stand. The guys at the centre said that it would make no difference mounting it flat on the wall and the picture would be equally good.

I am planning to link to a 5.1 system so the sound bar not needed, but will still be hoping the general chassis speakers are okay as don't want to be switching the amp on just to catch the breakfast news!

Welcome to Questions & Answers..

According to the User Guide Sony the HX853 can be wall mounted & Sony recommend using the SU-WL500 Wall-Mount Bracket (sold separately)..

Thank you for the useful advice. Any idea of the best place to get hold of the bracket without paying the earth?

Also, has anyone on the forum had experience with wall mounting one of these in terms of performance.

Hi,
Might be worth contacting a couple local specialist in your area but to be honest you should be able to use any 'VESA' compatible bracket that is capable of supporting your HX853's weight..
