Solución del problema

Como parte de nuestro servicio de aseguramiento de calidad, Sony asume, durante un periodo de cuatro años a partir de la fecha de compra, los gastos (piezas de recambio y mano de obra) que se pudieran generar por el arreglo de los ordenadores VAIO afectados (consulte la lista adjunta) por el fallo de las unidades de procesamiento gráfico NVIDIA.
Si su modelo figura en la lista, le rogamos utilice el siguiente enlace VAIO Support para solicitar el arreglo de su VAIO.

the Sony Vaio VGN-NR11S/S notebook has a hard disk TOSHIBA MK2035GSS with a capacity of 200GB. Indeed it is a model with 4200 rpm, whose access time lie slightly behind a 5400 hard disk, but at moderate office operation this should not make much difference. Advantage of the hard disk: Low noise emissions.

You have many options for replacement. I would like to suggest to contact an authorized Technical assistance. Unfortunately, I was not able to find your country/city in your profile to suggest the nearest option.

Regarding your question :

It's possible to partition the bad sectors and use the rest of the drive or is it simpler to replace it?

You have (many or too many) specifc softwares to fix and recover bad sectors. The bad sectors that can not be recovered, will be marked in order not to be used. Here, you will find some options :

Thalamus is right 'cause his answer is based on the compatible (Built-in camera and microphone for Skype™ enabled BRAVIA® TVs) list from Sony.

My understanding was based on Wireless LAN Ready feature using a SONY UWA-BR100 USB dongle.

Is there any way to access Skype on KDL 40EX403 ?

Officially, only the models EX Series BRAVIA ® HDTV 1080P, HX Series BRAVIA ® HDTV 1080P and NX Series BRAVIA ® HDTV 1080P are able to support Skype, but using a specific camera you are able to use skype with your TV as well.

Here..., you can find some videos that will help you to configurate the BRAVIA Internet Video connection.

It's up to you where to buy the camera...

The VGN-FZ38Mr is not eligible for the upgrade but meets the technical requirements for Windows 7.

1. The majority of Windows Vista drivers will work under a retail version of Windows 7.

Check whether drivers are available for your VAIO:

If the preinstalled Operating System on your model is Windows Vista,
If the preinstalled operating system on your model is Windows XP or older,
compatible drivers are not available, Sony VAIO Support cannot assist you with the upgrade. For more information about upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7, please refer to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-xp-to-windows-7.

You need to purchase a retail version of Windows 7, either from Microsoft directly or from a dealer.
Sony cannot assume any responsibility for stability and performance issues after this upgrade.
While the primary functions of your VAIO are expected to work, some minor features
e.g. hotkeys to change sound volume may not work.
We advise to back up data prior to starting any Windows7 Upgrade.
Verify whether you created Recovery DVDs to be able to return the VAIO to delivery state.

Sim, mas é um videocamera específica para TV, e não é fácil de ser encontrada.

suportam SKYPE, porém, utilizando-se uma Skype camera será possivel.

Onde comprar a camera é uma decisão individual. Eu encontrei alguns videos para a configuração aqui

Since a while, Sony doesn't replace (without cost/for Free) anymore any damaged key. Please, contact technical assistance, but keep in mind that this replacement will be paid.

After read the whole manual (), I was not able to found any comment telling me the opposite. So... to be clear... Yes, you can use the iPhone Navigation app with MEX-BT3900U connected by Bluetooth, even on the Passenger mode (Pag. 20).

Note : Please, read the manual first !

To operate the iphone, you need to consider all details about the compatibility with iPod, see “About iPod” on page 33 or visit the support site. In these Operating Instructions, “iPod” is used as a general reference for the iPod functions on the iPod and iPhone, unless otherwise specified by the text or illustrations.

That's the idea behind the product. .

Finally, Navigation commands will go through Bluetooth streaming too. If you're playing a song, the song won't pause, but the song will mute, and you'll hear the Navigation voice prompt. Once the Navigation voice prompt finishes, the song will resume.

It's highly recommend to buy an external microphone to assure clarity of your phone calls.
